			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>These wall panels were designed to resemble rough or raw concrete ground down and polished as the background for a collection of two and three dimensional artwork to be installed down the hallway.<br />&nbsp;<br />
To quote the old ad line, they laughed when I first started putting up the initial heavy black texture mix that &#8220;receives&#8221; the venetian plaster for polishing in this process.<br />&nbsp;<br />When I was finished, the clients told me it was the easiest and best resulting commission of over twenty different art projects that designer Kristen Victor had woven into the design of their new home.<br />&nbsp;<br />

The tower is steel and I got it all painted with the bright green primer you can see on the legs at the bottom of the picture. The idea of this faux finish was that the tower belonged in the city of the sea people who performing the &#8220;Cirque de la Mer&#8221; show, and had been dragged up from the ocean depths and installed to mark the entry into the stadium, I mean, world of the show.<br />
