Designing “Tuscan” interiors was all the rage while I was in San Diego, and so was the starting point of many different design processes even if the final result bore little resemblance to anything you might actually find in Tuscany. My job as a commission artist though is always to get as close as possible to what my clients see in their minds eye, and the rest are just the steps on the path to get there.

This dining room ceiling treatment is a typical case in point, evolving through the drawing and sampling phase to where the clients were even more excited than when they decided to hire me. I’m proud to say that this final faux finish project exceeded even their amplified expectations and year later we’re still trying to work out a return visit to their home for me to do some more detailed work like this– see the glowing testimonial below!
