I always wanted to publish this picture because it gives a great sense of those overwhelming moments that happen on jobs where you wonder how you got this far into it, and then, when and where does it end?
I had two other guys working on this project but handled the final finish work, edging, lining details all myself. Even though it was a smooth job (as far as large decorative painting jobs go), here, up in the air with a momentarily endless seeming amount of work to go, was a moment of self-collection, deep breathing and checking in on the work I just did. The results were positive and this job came out spectacularly well suited to the pre-existing conditions (like the outrageous ceiling), more finished detail pictures (never before published) to follow this week.
