Faux wood grain mantelpiece detail

Here’s a detail shot of the wood grain faux painting project I just posted, one of several faux wood mantels I did in San Diego.

I did a few variants of the burl faux wood finish featured on this fireplace surround, always on built in wall units of some kind, fireplaces, cabinets, etc.
