Polished venetian plaster wall finish

These wall panels were designed to resemble rough or raw concrete ground down and polished as the background for a collection of two and three dimensional artwork to be installed down the hallway.
 
To quote the old ad line, they laughed when I first started putting up the initial heavy black texture mix that “receives” the venetian plaster for polishing in this process.
 
When I was finished, the clients told me it was the easiest and best resulting commission of over twenty different art projects that designer Kristen Victor had woven into the design of their new home.
